Donna Nevels is a Chicago born woman with a
passion for the arts. Dance, music and visual art are her passions with
photography being the art that stirs her soul. “If I don’t love what I
see through the viewfinder, then I won’t love what I print” she likes to
say. “It has to please me before it can please others”. Her photography is simple and straight forward, full of color or not, and always moving. People are her subjects of choice and she manages to capture emotion in her images. She keeps her portraits simple and her weddings are full of love…..she captures the love of the bride and groom and her love for her photography shows in her work. Self- taught and always seeking out new techniques, she never stops learning and creating. Donna has been displaying her art since 2006 in her first solo exhibition and has won countless awards. She has been published in Faith and Form: The Interfaith Journal on Religion, Art and Architecture which published in 2011. Donna loves her art and that is evident!
